Student Collaborators

  • Izzy Arrieta-Silva is an undergraduate student in the Department of Dance at Utah Valley University.

  • Mindy Houston is an emerging artist, performer, and educator. In 2015, she will receive her bachelor of fine arts in dance with a modern emphasis and bachelor of science in dance education from Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. Mindy has performed in many professional works as a soloist, duo and ensemble. She has worked with John Corsa, I-Fen Lin, Raw Moves Dance, My Turkey Sandwich, Charlotte Boye-Christensen, John Allen, Keith Johnson, Damon Rago, and many others. Mindy performed many works with Utah Valley University’s Contemporary Dance Ensemble and Synergy Dance Company. She had the opportunity to choreograph works while on Synergy Dance Company and many of those works received scholarships and high awards. When she’s not dancing, Mindy keeps active in various outdoor activities, service projects, teaching opportunities. Mindy has traveled nationally to perform in multiple festivals and events at many well known venues from New York to Nevada. Throughout her travels she has been able to take many master classes in multiple genres. Through her experiences, Mindy strives to use her gift as an artist, performer and educator in the arts to touch and inspire those around her.

  • Hannah Braegger McKeachnie will soon graduate from Utah Valley University (UVU) where she will have earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance with a Modern emphasis. Hannah thoroughly enjoyed performing with UVU’s elite dance companies, Contemporary Dance Ensemble and Synergy for 3 years where she has danced solo parts and group works of renowned companies and choreographers such as Raw Moves Dance, Repertory Dance Theatre, Keith Johnson, Todd Allen, John Corsa, Kim Strunk, and Monica Campbell. Hannah loves to choreograph and is fascinated with quirky out-of-the-norm movement. Additionally, while at UVU, she worked as the Dance Department Representative for the School of the Arts and has assumed presidency responsibilities for the UVU Contemporary Club. Hannah graduated from the UVU Center for the Advancement of Leadership program with High Distinction. While in the Leadership program, Hannah co-founded Spectrum, a campus-wide production featuring all genres of dance present at UVU. She is currently a full faculty member teaching multiple genres of dance to all ages at The Academy of Ballet where she grew up dancing since age 7. When she is not dancing, Hannah loves to camp, color, explore the art of photography, and will soon own her own motorcycle. She recently married her best friend and hero Reuben McKeachnie who encourages her to live her dreams and share her artistry and passion for dance. (See Hannah’s Facebook page, as well.)
